We have the first casting news for the upcoming BSG prequel, Caprica. Playing the role of Amanda Greystone will be Deadwood’s Paula Malcomson. For more details (including spoilers for the show) go read about it here.

    Especially if we are finally going to learn more about the creation of the ’skinjobs’ finally. I know it is just speculation, but it makes complete sense. Even if their creation wasn’t directly related to Amanda’s work other than she and her husband creating hard-wired ‘desires’ to become more and more ‘human’… which would explain why in the world they keep trying to ‘hijack the human path’ as the Cavils put it.

    I wonder –this is assuming that this is more than pure speculation– the original daughter model is still functional? Is she boxed up somewhere? Or is she the driving force behind this invasion? The Queen Bee, if you will?
