There will be life after BSG, and not just in Caprica. Word was released tonight that there will be three Battlestar Galactica made-for-TV movies going into production starting this summer.

I’m sure there will be more updates on this over the next few days and weeks, but for now–get excited.

So what would you like to see covered in one of the movies?

Call me crazy but I would love to see the backstory on one or two of the ‘normal’ civilians who have been traveling in the fleet. Perhaps the story of Kacey and her mother? That would be especially good because their story already touches some of our favorite characters.

Who were they before the attack? What and who did they lose? How are they changed? How are they the same? How is it to raise a baby on rations, as a refugee, on a starship? How does her mother make ends meet?

Or perhaps that nautical engineer that was ‘drafted’ into serving on the Pegasus.

OR… surely by now Adama realizes that their society has become militaristic in nature (by necessity) and also realizes that he could fill out his ranks with civilians himself. When will he start recruiting actively? I know he is recruiting pilots but surely they need knuckle-draggers, medical personal, and cooks, too? In fact, I’m certain that it’s already ‘happening’ (as if this were RL, lol) but I would like to see it covered, preferrably from a new POV as well as the ones we all know and love.
