I *heart* Podcasts

I’m the kind of girl who has “Listen to audio commentaries” listed as #2 on the to do list whenever I get a DVD. (Watching the blooper reel will always be #1.) So to have Ron Moore do audio commentaries to every episode is just a thrill for me. I love learning all kind of inane trivia. For instance, did you know the kiss shared between Laura and Bill in Season 2 was improvised by Edward James Olmos? So not only do we get lovely tidbits like that to tuck away, but we also get the sheer honesty of Mr. Moore.

To hear someone admit that something didn’t turn out the way he wanted or that someone else knew how to do something better than he did is just refreshing. I love hearing the struggle of the writer trying to pull this story together and honoring storytelling above flashiness or comments from the network. He understands his fans, appreciates them, but also isn’t afraid to have a little fun with them.

If you haven’t checked out his podcasts, please do. You can find them on iTunes here.  And to Mr. Moore–thank you for taking the time and interest to appreciate your fans in this manner.
