Will We Create Our Own Cylons?

This video, courtesy of BBC News, is a report about how robots are becoming more and more human-like.  It’s amazing what scientists and engineers are able to accomplish these days, and a little a scary.  And the virtual time machine they show in the video is pretty sweet, too.

Caprica Promo Pic

kelsrealm was kind enough to post this image over at the BSG community on LiveJournal.

Left to right: Esai Morales (Joseph Adama), Paula Malcomson (Amanda Greystone), and Eric Stoltz (Daniel Greystone).

I am excited to see this series simply becase it will be run by the same people and we’ll get more back story, but I also know that if this is starting it means the show I currently know and absolutely adore will be no more.  What are your thoughts?

BSG Movie News

We’ve been hearing for a while now talks about some BSG TV Movies (a la Razor), but today the LA Times confirmed a few things we already had heard rumors about:

  • Jane Espenson wrote the script
  • Edward James Olmos is directing
  • It’s going to be Cylon-centric
  • It will be a flashback

We also had three confirmed actors: Aaron Douglas (Chief), Michael Trucco (Anders), and Dean Stockwell (Cavil).  Female actors have been cast as well, but their names were not released just yet, but shooting will start “promptly”.  For further details on what will take place, go and read the article.

Sexy Sci-Fi Stars

We already knew they were pretty hot, but I guess it’s kind of now official since TV Guide confirmed it.  Congrats to Katee Sackhoff and Jamie Bamber (of course he made the list, did you see him in the towel in “Final Cut”?) for taking spots twelve and six, respectively, on TV Guide’s Sexiest Sci-Fi Stars List.  To the rest of the Top 15, click here.

BSG ComicCon Panel Transcript

nicole_anell on livejournal had been kind enough to make a transcript of the BSG panel that took place at ComicCon a couple of weeks ago.  To read what was said, go here.  A reminder, the session contained adult language and themes.
